The Founding Fathers believed that all governments possesed the possibility of oppressing its people and becoming a tyranny. Therefore, an armed populace would be a deterrent and keep the government in check. As bad as things are in America just consider what would happen once this deterrent is removed. You would see more incidents of police misconduct against people exercising the right of protest, etc. The police brutality rate (in the early 70s) declined dramatically in Oakland, CA after the Black Panther Party encouraged blacks to arm themselves against a racist society. The police suddenly became polite to black folk and this was no coincidence, either. The second amendment restrained the police from abusing their authority. The way Obama et al forced the unpopular healthcare bill on Americans was a portent of things to come. In other words it was a bad omen. Week after week we have to put up with one outrage after another from Obama. In addition to a government takeover of several private industries the president is now contemplating granting blanket amnesty [for illegal aliens] through presidential pardons or an executive order. This alarmed eight Republican senators to write him a letter warning him not to go that far. Why? Because it would usurp the authority of Congress that enacts such laws on immigration in the first place.

The warning letter from the senators probably included a veiled threat that to pardon undocumented aliens was an impeachable offense. Even more ominous is the rumor that certain Democratic senators urged him to take such a bold step to win the much needed Hispanic vote this November based on the current ongoing polls predicting a massive defeat for their party. How much do you want to bet that certain unnamed members of both houses of Congress have held secret discussions with high ranking military officers about the signs of tyranny and a dictatorship sweeping our nation and how to stop it? Firstly, they would hold a press conference announcing articles of impeachment and secondly if Obama resists and tries to usher in martial law and/or suspend the Constitution the military will ring Washington, D.C. and attempt to arrest the president.
