Yea tho I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death…

My gun and my aim…

Pistolpackingpreacher.com is dedicated to those who love the Bill of Rights and to everything Americans hold dear. This pro-gun supersite features articles about self-defense, politics, traditional Christian values, and general current events and commentary from a conservative point of view, written by none other than the Pistol Packing Preacher himself. And yes, the Pistol Packing Preacher is an evangelical Christian and proud of it, too.
It may raise eyebrows to discover an unabashedly pro-gun minister. However, there are numerous clergy members who own and carry firearms for self defense in the USA. My involvement began after graduating from seminary in 1979 and while interning as a pastor, I became a federal correctional officer. From there I joined the NRA after buying my first firearm. Upon researching the gun issue, I discovered that the Gun Lobby was telling the truth and that all antigun forces use lies, twisted crime and accident data to frighten an uninformed public into eventually accepting a ban on firearms – especially handguns. In the late 1980s I wrote a monograph titled “Self Defense and the Bible” and self published it as a booklet. This highlighted the fact that God’s people were not pacifists and took up arms to fight in the Old Testament and the New Testament.
The booklet was well received by the Gun Lobby and as a result I can accurately proclaim myself as “America’s Foremost Pro-gun Minister.” I am a December 1991 recipient of The Gun Rights Defender Of The Month award from The Citizens Committee For The Right To Keep And Bear Arms. At least once a year I attend pro-gun conferences to do the invocation and to make a speech.
