Bill O’Reilly Doesn’t Get It About The 2nd Amendment

Saturday, February 20th, 2010

According to Bill O’Reilly it is quite appropriate for the police to disarm law abiding and licensed firearms owners during a national emergency – even though it violates the Constitution and endangers the public who are not guaranteed protection by the police in the first place.?????????

So, then how does any citizen protect himself/herself when anarchy reigns? In the Hurricane Katrina aftermath roving gangs of criminals robbed certain homes and armed home owners were able to fend them off usually without even firing a shot. And let’s not forget the L.A. riots of the early 1990s when Korean merchants some of whom were armed with so-called assault rifles thwarted the rioters. Maybe Bill is confused or doesn’t really understand why we have a 2nd Amendment. The NRA issued a clear and concise rebuttal online.Click Full Story.

The Truth Is Out There!

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

I’m referring to the truth about Obama’s socialist leanings. When you study him carefully with his radical America hating associates and his outpsoken hostile attititude toward traditional American ideals as well as to Christian values one can not help but assume that he deep down in his heart is a socialist and views the US of A as an evil country. Isn’t that right Mrs. Obama? But now we have a blast from the past from a former campus mate and ex-socialist himself who insists that Obama was a socialist then and is one now.Click Full Story.

What Does The Relentless Pursuit Of The Health Care Bill Reveal?

Monday, February 15th, 2010

One thing is for sure. The liberals couldn’t care less that a majority of people oppose and fear the health care bill. To refuse putting it on the Internet as Obama promised during his campaign and to conduct closed door meetings without Republicans smells to the high heavens. What are they hiding? The good news is that 100 lawmakers have written a Declaration of Health Care Independence and are calling upon Americans to sign it and send it to their representatives.Click Full Story.

CAIR Tried And Failed To Chill Free Speech

Monday, February 15th, 2010

Do you remember how during the Clinton and Bush administration the gun prohibitionists were on a clever crusade to bankrupt the firearms industry by suing them for the actions of criminals? The plan was twofold:

1-The firearms industry would find its finances depleted and consequently pass the expense on to gun buyers possibly resulting in a massive decline in gun purchases.

2-Some gun manufacturers would then throw in the towel and close shop to the delight of the gun banners.

The hoped for result was to diminsh gun ownership with costly lawsuits and possibly leading to gun industry bankruptcy. Even my 14 year old nephew saw the folly of this attempt after I told him about it. He said, “That’s like suing car companies for drunk drivers killing people.” Touche’! “From out of the mouth of babes”, indeed. A judge who ruled against the gun banners even made the same comment as my nephew.

The so-called civil rights group for Muslims, CAIR, is now utilizing the same tactics to chill and discourage anyone from citicizing them or other Muslims. But in a similar vein as the judge who ruled against suing gun manufacturers another judge ruled against CAIR in its atempt to intimidate critics by launching equally costly lawsuits. The plot thickens. Now a scientist in the middle of the latest salvo of damaging revelations regarding global warming is now admitting that no evidence exists that the earth has been warming. I wonder what diehard liberals are going to say now?Click Full Story.

Why This Black Man Voted Against Obama!

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

The letter below was written to my former church members to explain why I did not vote for Barack Obama as president. To this day not one member has responded to me and my guess is deep down they realize that President Obama’s anti-Christian values are inexcusable and horrible. They also realize that there is no intellectual or Biblical leg to stand on. What can they say to me? Nothing! Even some black pastors have been uncharacteristicly mute on this subject after having received the same letter from me. Here’s the letter:

Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.”

Hi brothers and sisters in Christ. It was nice to see you at the church [on Father’s Day] and I have some news for you. Last year before the election Daphne looked surprised when she found out that I wasn’t for Obama and here’s why I didn’t vote for him. Based on the research I did on his religious views I was appalled and outraged. Therefore, race played no role in my vote. I’m a Christian first and black second. Obama has always been a staunch pro-abortion supporter as well as an advocate of partial-birth abortion. Do you know what this procedure involves? A baby in the third trimester is pulled from the mother’s womb feet first and then rotated. Then the Dr. sticks a scissor-like instrument in the back of the baby’s neck, opens it up, and then another instrument is then inserted in the back of the neck to suck the brains out of the baby as its brain collapses. Even Michelle Obama did a fund raiser by circulating a letter advocating the right of women to avail themselves of this evil practice. (Click here for proof (http://www.lifenews.com/nat3935.html). Moreover, Obama also opposed the Baby Born Alive Infancy Protection Act that was enacted to protect babies born alive after a botched/failed abortion. (Click article http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/obama_and_infanticide.html). To oppose protecting babies born alive after a failed abortion reveals a very cold person. Moreover, did you hear what he said about if his daughters ever got pregnant out of wedlock? He said that he would not want to “punish them with a baby.” Hello! Pardon me!? Having a baby instead of an abortion is punishment? Not in the eyes of the Lord! This is a serious character flaw in Obama that most black Christians were unaware of and the few who did conveniently overlooked this. It was all about race and not Christian values.

Another cop-out from black Christians is, “Well abortion isn’t the only issue.” True. But what saith the Scripture?
Proverbs 6:6-19
Six things the Lord hates; in fact, seven are detestable to Him:

• (4) Arrogant Eyes
• (5) A Lying Tongue
• (6) Hands That Shed Innocent Blood
• (7) A Heart That Plots Wicked Schemes
• (1) Feet Eager to Run to Evil
• (2) A Lying Witness Who Gives False Testimony
• (3) One Who Stirs Up Trouble Among Brothers
Abortion is the shedding of innocent blood and is linked to other issues that threaten Christian values. For example, a pro-choice/pro-abortion judge is likely to be hostile to our faith when a case comes before him/her. Obama has vowed to nominate pro-choice judges to federal appeals courts and the US Supreme Court. True to his word he recently nominated Judge David Hamilton who is pro-choice and who once ruled against invoking the name of Jesus during prayers at college graduations. Yet, he saw no problem in invoking the name Allah by Muslims. (Google Judge David Hamilton). Now we have Judge Sonia Sotomayor who is not only pro-choice but who also made some racist remarks about whites.

By the way, I bet you didn’t know that a black gay man is suing a Christian book company (Zondervan) because its anti-gay teachings “offended” him. Any liberal pro-abortion judge is not likely to sympathize and side with the Church. And these are the kinds of judges Obama has vowed to appoint. Elections have consequences and any president who is hostile to Christian beliefs is a threat to the church and will have a negative effect on our children and grandchildren.

I was not fooled by Obama’s charm and captivating voice. Nor was I seeking to receive some vicarious thrill for all the racism that I/we have experienced in this country – as if his election atoned for racism and I can now say, “Ha! Ha! Take that!” I insist to all black Christians that we are Christians first and black second. To me Obama is a cold and calculating slick wolf in sheep’s clothing. Those of us who voted for this man and who seem to worship him [because he can do no wrong] will answer to God for voting for the most pro-death/anti-baby and anti-Christian president .ever elected.

In His Grace,

Tony

A Restraining Order Vs. A Licensed Handgun?

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

What makes people think that a person determined to use violence would be deterred by a restraining order a.k.a. an order of protection? Too bad the woman nor her husband chose to arm themselves thereby having a chance to protect herself. See the following:

AOL News (Feb. 12) — A central Florida woman was shot and killed in her workplace by a stalker just one week after a judge denied her request for an emergency order of protection against the man, authorities said.

Alissa Blanton, 23, worked with her husband at an AT&T call center near the University of Central Florida in Orlando.

When the couple returned to work from lunch Monday, they headed for their separate workstations. Shortly thereafter, Blanton was confronted by Roger Troy, 61, who had allegedly been pursuing her for two years, police said.

Blanton called her husband and asked for assistance, police say. Brent Blanton hurried to his wife’s desk but was unable to reach her in time.

YouTube
Alissa Blanton, 23, said she quit her job as a waitress to get away from a customer. The man stalked her over the next two years and finally killed her at her new workplace, police said.
“The suspect came armed with the firearm and shot her multiple times, and then, we believe, he turned the gun on himself and shot himself,” Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Susan Soto told news8.net.

The horrific shooting was detailed in several phone calls that Blanton’s terrified co-workers made to police.

“I was driving into work, parking my vehicle, and I saw this gentleman shooting this woman several times. Then I ducked my head because I didn’t want him to see me and shoot me. And then it looks like he probably shot himself, because he’s lying on the ground next to her,” said one female caller.

“We heard shots. I saw someone fall to the ground,” said another caller.

Brent Blanton also placed a call to 911. In it, he is heard anxiously talking to his wife as she lay bleeding on the ground.

“Baby, I love you. Keep breathing. Oh my God. Come on, baby!” he said.

Paramedics transported Blanton to a local hospital, where she later died. Troy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Calls for comment from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department were not immediately returned, but in the aftermath of Monday’s shooting, Soto summed up the events.

In a request for an order of protection, Blanton said Troy had been stalking her for the past two years. The two first met when she worked as a waitress at a Hooters restaurant in Merritt Island, Fla. Troy, a Cocoa Beach, Fla., businessman and regular customer, allegedly began harassing her on a regular basis. She said she turned down his requests for her phone number but eventually relented and provided him with her e-mail address.

Blanton said that at one point her boss had to get involved because Troy kept attempting to hug her and would follow her to her car when her shift ended.

“He has said several times that he spent so much money there and on me, and he doesn’t deserve to be treated this way,” she wrote in her complaint. “After this incident, he stopped sitting in my section, and the e-mails started about how terrible I am and all about an ex-boyfriend I was dating.”

The alleged harassment continued. In 2008, Blanton, in desperation, quit her job just to get away from Troy. That failed to end her torment, she said.

“I moved to Orlando to be closer to a new job, and he began showing up there and e-mailing about seeing me,” she wrote. “I reported it. Then I got married and moved back to Brevard County, and letters are coming and stalking here also.”

In one e-mail, Troy expressed anger at Blanton because she had recently gotten married.

“What in the hell is wrong with you? My payment for caring about a young woman and how she screwed up her life,” Troy wrote in one of the e-mails included in her request for an order of protection.

In other e-mails, he allegedly called Blanton a “tramp” and a “whore” and made comments about her weight.

“You are the poster girl for ‘beauty is only skin deep,’” reads one of the e-mails.

Despite Blanton’s 72-page petition, Brevard County Circuit Judge John Dean Moxley was not convinced that the situation was dire. Last week, he denied her request for emergency protection.

Following the shooting, Moxley told the Orlando Sentinel he had not been able to determine whether Troy’s actions met the legal definition of stalking.

“As a judge you have to follow the law. You’re not omniscient. God bless her soul,” he said.

Moxley is now under review by the Judicial Qualifications Commission.

But even if the judge had granted her request, it’s unlikely a protection order would have saved Blanton’s life, said Houston crime victims’ advocate Andy Kahan.

“They are only as good as the person who wants to honor it,” Kahan told AOL News. “Other than that, the reality is, it’s merely words on a piece of paper. If someone does not want to abide by it, then a protective order is not going to stop someone from achieving their goal.”

Kahan says stalking is a serious offense that can ultimately lead to sexual assault, kidnapping or, as in this case, murder.

“There is no universal way for dealing with these types of cases,” Kahan said. “Each case has to be looked at it on its own merit.”

While protective orders are not always effective, Kahan said they are necessary and important tools.

“Victims need to keep making reports, get it on the record and don’t ignore it,” Kahan said. “It’s important for victims to get a protective order for law enforcement purposes. If a person does begin stalking and harassing them, it gives law enforcement the leverage they need to take action.”

Meanwhile, memorial services are being planned for Blanton in Florida and in her hometown of De Soto, Mo.

“It’s too hard to accept that someone could hurt someone like that in such a horrible, horrible, horrible way,” her best friend, Kayce D’Alessandro, told Fox News. “She was a complete and utter sweetheart. … She was very shy, but at the same time, outgoing. She loved to dance, she loved to sing, she loved art.”

Are The Gun Prohibitionists Angry About Their Latest Loss?

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

The mayor of Seattle lost his seat by arrogantly thumbing his nose at state law by arbitrarily imposing a ban on carrying licensed handguns in city parks. The King County Superior Court saw otherwise.

SAF, NRA VICTORY: COURT STRIKES
DOWN SEATTLE PARK GUN BAN

SEATTLE, WA – A King County Superior Court judge has ruled in favor of a lawsuit filed by the Second Amendment Foundation and National Rifle Association, striking down a ban on guns in city parks because it violates Washington State’s long-standing preemption statute.

Judge Catherine Shaffer ruled from the bench that the gun ban, adopted under former Mayor Greg Nickels, violates Washington’s law, which placed sole authority for regulating firearms in the hands of the State Legislature. That law was adopted in 1983 and amended in 1985, and has served as a model for similar laws across the country.

SAF and NRA were joined in the lawsuit by the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, the Washington Arms Collectors and five individual plaintiffs.

“This is a great victory for the rule of law and Washington citizens,” said SAF Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “Greg Nickels was so blinded by his personal hatred for firearms owners and his own arrogance that he imagined the city under his control could simply ignore state law. That arrogance cost Nickels his job last year. We repeatedly warned him not to push a gun ban, but he refused to listen.

“It is also a victory for the Legislature,” he observed, “because this case affirms the intent of lawmakers in 1983 to prevent cities like Seattle from creating a nightmare patchwork of conflicting and confusing firearms regulations. The ruling solidifies the legislature’s authority and sends a message to city and county governments to stop meddling with the rights of Washington citizens.”

Gottlieb suggested a review of local ordinances may now be in order, so that city and county governments can be compelled to remove old gun regulations or face legal consequences.

“This ruling puts anti-gun local officials on notice that legally-armed citizens have rights, too,” Gottlieb stated.

The Second Amendment Foundation (www.saf.org) is the nations oldest and largest tax-exempt education, research, publishing and legal action group focusing on the Constitutional right and heritage to privately own and possess firearms. Founded in 1974, The Foundation has grown to more than 650,000 members and supporters and conducts many programs designed to better inform the public about the consequences of gun control. SAF has previously funded successful firearms-related suits against the cities of Los Angeles; New Haven, CT; and San Francisco on behalf of American gun owners, a lawsuit against the cities suing gun makers and an amicus brief and fund for the Emerson case holding the Second Amendment as an individual right.

Isn’t This Proof Of Media Bias?

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

Shades of George Orwell. Liberals in general cannot win debates and further their agenda without resorting to lies and distortions and demonizing their conservative opponents. This is what makes them dangerous. Thank God most people do not trust the media and prefer conservative Talk TV or Talk Radio in addition to the Internet for accurate information. Recently a liberal website embarked on a mission to discredit the Tea Party movement by linking a racist to the group even though he was actually shunned. The website Talking Points Memo is quite aware of this and chose to continue their smear campaign. This is why – again – some people consider liberalism a mental disorder. I see them as a cult following false dogma. Newsbusters.org has responded to TMP in the follwoing article.Click Full Story.

Secession Is Not So Far Fetched

Friday, February 12th, 2010

If all else fails and [worse case scenario] Obama and the Democrats do pass power grabbing laws [that are unconstitutional] our last resort would be to secede. Contrary to popular perception the federal government does not possess absolute power nor ever has been granted carte blanche to do as it pleases. That’s why we have a 10th Amendment. Seceding is an option when the government goes wild. Look at what Patrick Buchanan discovered about the history of seceding.Click Full Story.
