“Don’t Ask, Don’ Tell” Now On Hold. Why?
Was it just a tease by Obama to the extreme left wing of the Democratic Party that he is catering to when he requested the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy to be repealed? I raise this question because all of a sudden Secretary of Defense Gates is suggesting delaying overturning this policy for a year [which is after the November election]. Hmm? Although the latest polls indicate that a majority of Americans favor repealing this law did Obama et al discover evidence that the military would be irreversibly damaged and weakened by changing the law? Some reports insist that 25% of the military would not re-enlist if it happens. I’m just wondering why all of a sudden there’s talk of a delay.Click Full Story.
