President Obama showed his true colors during his State of the Union speech when he announced plans to repeal the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy regarding gays in the military. Obama has the tendency to swim against the stream of public opinion. He is not really a politican but an ideologue with an agenda and the public be damned. Some commentators have opined that the president and his advisors are willing to lose the elections of 2010 as well as 2012 as long as their socialist/Marxist vision for America is realized. And that this is why they deiberately and arrogantly defy the wishes of the majority. The left believes that this is their last best chance to “change” America. Senator McCain vehemently disagrees with the president about repealing the present gay policy.
