According to Bernard Goldberg George W. Bush actually volunteered for duty in Vietnam and that Dan Rather was aware of this. 2 Thessalonians 2:11, “For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie.” This verse reminds me of the national stupor evident by naive disciples of Barack Obama whose attitudes border on idol worship. Friends, spouses, and relatives have engaged in tense verbal combat over The Anointed One. Even my own long time friendship with a Vietnam veteran was almost ruined when he took umbrage at my decision not to vote for Obama and hurled personal insults at me. He lost his cool.

As another Christian put it, “Obama is the bandaid to racism.” Why? Because his election atones for all the blacks in America who were ever denied a job based on the color of their skin and more than one African-American has defiantly admitted this to me. As a consequence the tendency is to become defensive of Obama when he is criticized. How dare anyone [especially whites] say a negative thing about the first black president. And to those blacks who oppose Obama you have no black pride and are Uncle Toms.

The attempt to intimidate dissenters and to demonize those who attend the townhall meetings to voice their opposition to the dangerous health care plan is quite surreal when you notice that Obama’s disciples think it’s perfectly within the president’s rights. It doesn’t trouble them that we are being labled as Nazi’s and un-American, etc. What is transpiring reminds me of Castro’s Cuba. I have been encouraged lately, though, because more Americans are now in possession of the health care bill and/or are familiar with its dangerous freedom threatening contents.
