Lately family oriented movies with less violence and gore, no profanity, and no sex have become the biggest money makers. I remember as a young struggling actor in 1971 when the movie Shaft [starring Richard Roundtree] came out how the surprising in-your-face profanity shocked me. From that year onward the movie industry plummeted – morally speaking – and became more decadent and unsuitable for family viewing.
